Baton Rouge Man Arrested After Shooting Into Vehicle on Interstate 10

A Baton Rouge man faces attempted murder and drive-by shooting charges after allegedly firing into another vehicle on I-10 near the West Baton Rouge–Iberville Parish line Monday evening.

Port Allen, LA — A Baton Rouge man is behind bars after allegedly firing multiple rounds into another vehicle on Interstate 10 Sunday evening, according to the West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office.

Bradlee St. Julien, 39, was arrested following the incident, which occurred shortly after 5 p.m. Monday on I-10 westbound near Mile Marker 143, close to the West Baton Rouge–Iberville Parish line.

According to investigators, the victim was traveling westbound when he encountered a vehicle being driven recklessly across both lanes. The victim called Louisiana State Police to report the driving while continuing on the interstate.

During the encounter, the suspect stopped his vehicle in a way that blocked both lanes before continuing westbound. When the victim attempted to pass, the suspect fired multiple rounds into the victim's vehicle, striking it several times. No injuries were reported.

State Police located the suspect vehicle near the Grosse Tete exit and conducted a traffic stop. St. Julien was taken into custody without incident, and investigators recovered a firearm from inside the vehicle.

Investigators determined St. Julien is a convicted felon and was subject to an active protective order prohibiting him from possessing a firearm.

Louisiana State Police filed additional charges including DWI 2nd Offense, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Violation of a Protective Order.

St. Julien was booked into the Iberville Parish Jail. Upon release, he will be booked into the West Baton Rouge Parish Detention Center on charges of Attempted Second Degree Murder, Assault by Drive-By Shooting, Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Aggravated Obstruction of a Highway of Commerce, Violation of a Protective Order, Driving Under Suspension, and No Insurance.
