**PORT ALLEN** — A man who fled the West Baton Rouge Parish Courthouse on Monday after deputies moved to take him into custody has turned himself in, according to the West Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office.

Jasen Webb, 45, had appeared in court as a free man following a recent release from federal custody in May. When deputies attempted to detain him on unresolved matters stemming from 2024 drug possession charges, Webb fled on foot. Witnesses tracked him to the area in front of the WBR Governmental Building on North Alexander Avenue before losing sight of him.

Webb later turned himself in to authorities, according to WBRSO PIO Sgt. Landon Groger. No additional details about the circumstances of his surrender were immediately available.
